DISASTERS
Prepare
You can prepare for anthing
A pandemic is an anomaly that rarely occurs, but when it does, you can be prepared to deal with it by following a few basic steps.
Stock up on food & water supplies. Typically a 3 day supply for natural disasters, but in this instance, you may want to have at least a 2 week supply on hand.
Remember that a human requires at least a gallon of water per day.
Non-perishable food items work best, typically preserve well over time.
Have a continuous supply of prescription and nonprescription drugs & health supplies on hand at all times.
Make sure you have copies of your health record, as well as the records of family members.
Have a plan on how to care for yourself or family members if they become sick.
Survive & Recover
It is all in how you handle yourself
Do your part to limit the spread of germs and infection.
Keep your distance from others, better safe than sorry.
If you are sick, stay away from others, do NOT spread it to others.
Always cover your mouth and nose if you have to sneeze or cough.
Wash your hands frequently!
Avoid touching you face, eyes, nose and mouth.
Get plenty of sleep.
Stay physically active.
Drink lots of fluids.
Talk it out to reduce the stress.
