Prepare

Think fast, move fast!

If you live in an area that is prone to wildfires, due to weather and environmental conditions, you should already have a plan in place.
Have an emergency supply kit readily available. Include N95 masks and medications.
Know and practice the evacuation routes out of the area.
Store your important documents in a fireproof safe or as digitial copies.
Clear at least 30 feet all around your property. Keep it free from leaves, debris and other flammable materials.
Make sure you have a water supply that can reach any area of your property.
Sign up for and listen to local, city, State alert systems.

Survive

Fire spreads fast, think fast, move fast!

Listen to the emergency alert systems.
Evacuate if told to do so.
Have your emergency supplies, documents, and family ready to go.
If you are trapped in an area, call 911.
Because of air particles, use your masks.

Recover

Follow directions of local authorities.

Avoid areas that were burned because of hot ash, smoldering debris and live embers.
Also be cautious of heat pockets that can burn you or your pets.
Only return when told to do so by authorities.
Be mindful of ground conditions and potential for flooding.
